HSE Engineer – MJ

Job responsibilities:  

• Ensure compliance with JODC Health, Safety, and Environmental program, policies and procedures, and HSE Operation Manual & Plans
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits: The HSE Engineer will conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective actions. This includes reviewing safety equipment, checking for compliance with safety regulations, and conducting safety meetings with workers.
• Develop and maintain safety records and reports: The HSE Engineer will develop and maintain safety records and reports to ensure that all safety procedures are being followed and that workers are aware of safety risks and how to avoid them.
• Build capability of site resources to support the implementation of the HSE program.
• Manage site-wide system, Program Elements, and processes, to identify and evaluate hazards (risks), and implement effective controls (corrective/preventive solutions).
• Participate in the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and identification of corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders: The HSE Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that safety is incorporated into all aspects of project planning and execution. This includes reviewing project plans and identifying potential safety risks.
