  • Responsible to filing prescriptions according to the specifications of physicians, while also consulting with Customers about appropriate over the counter medications for common ailments. Also Responsible for instructing patients on how and when to take a prescribed medicine and inform them about side effects they may experience from taking the medication.
  • Review prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability for the patient.
  • Ensure to implement programs to give preventative vaccinations like flu and pneumonia shots.
  • Advise patients on health topics, such as diet, exercise, and managing stress and ensure best Customer Service.
  • Check for potentially dangerous drug interactions when patients are taking multiple medications and inform them of those potential hazards.
  • Provide information and advice about drugs, their side effects, correct dosage and proper storage.
  • Keep records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, and registries of poisons, narcotics or controlled drugs in compliance with MOH Regulations.
  • Plan, implement and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging and labelling pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure quality, security and proper disposal.
  • Ensure to assess the identity, strength or purity of medications.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review or evaluate the quality or effectiveness of drugs.
  • Ensure the ordering and purchasing pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, drugs and other retail products, as required and in line with Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, handle and store stock properly, in line with Mohamed Naser Al – Hajery policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all stocks maintained at Mohamed Naser Al-Hajery & Sons Pharmacies are within the acceptable expiry dates and returned before expiring in store.
  • Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
  • Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment or healthcare supplies that may best suit their needs.
  • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
  • Protect Customers by adhering to infection-control protocols.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by Direct Manager.
