<p>Al-Futtaim Group Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) is currently seeking a finance professional to join their team in the capacity of Senior Accountant – O2C.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><b>JOB PURPOSE</b></p>
<p>As an (O2C) Senior Accountant in Group Finance Shares Service Centre (FSSC), he/she will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities of the O2C function whilst complying with organization’s policies and procedures and ensuring necessary checks and balances to mitigate risks:</p>
<p>This position will be responsible for the following.</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide daily partnering support to business operations by assisting in O2C activities</li>
<li>Collateral Security Management, which includes PDCs, Bank Guarantees, Security Cheques etc.</li>
<li>Identify, highlight, and expedite timely action to resolve exceptions / interface fallouts by performing review, reconciliation, and substantiation of O2C accounts and reports.</li>
<li>Highlight receivables and overdues position to business to facilitate their follow-up and collection activities</li>
<li>Ensure adequate provision is created for doubtful debts as per company Policy and IFRS standard</li>
<li>Highlight risks and exceptions based on daily review of Collection control accounts and ensure resolution of exceptions within SLA by escalating in a timely manner</li>
<li>Create and maintain various master record for the O2C activities</li>
<li>Perform assigned month end book closing tasks within O2C</li>
<li>Monitor the ongoing automated activities and ensure continuity of daily tasks</li>
<li>Support with resolution of audit requests (Internal and External) within the submission timelines</li>
<li>Identify and support on standardization and improvement initiatives within the O2C function</li>
<li>Manage projects/testing as and when it is required by the department or SBUs</li>
<li>Support colleagues while they are on leave</li>
</ul>

<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Timely O2C partnering support to Business in day-to-day operations</li>
<li>PDC Management, which includes PDC collection, Warehousing, Banking, Maturing, Hold / Postponement etc</li>
<li>Daily collection control account monitoring and exception management</li>
<li>Perform monthly / periodic reconciliation and substantiation of O2C accounts and highlight exceptions and related risks to the Business</li>
<li>Preparation and circulation of periodic O2C exception reports & dashboards to stakeholders</li>
<li>Perform assigned month end book closing tasks within O2C</li>
<li>Computation of Provision for doubtful debts in accordance with Policy</li>
<li>Identify and support process standardization and improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and quality of reporting for FSSC O2C processes</li>
<li>Manage projects/testing as and when it is required by the department or SBUs</li>
<li>Any other O2C activities assigned from time to time</li>

<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS</b></p>
<p> Education Qualification:</p>
<ul>
<li>Finance Graduate or Semi-qualified or Qualified or equivalent qualifications</li>
</ul>
<p>Minimum Experience and Knowledge:</p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2-5 years’ similar experience, with a good knowledge of ERP systems.</li>
</ul>
<p>Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:</p>
<ul>
<li>Good accounting knowledge (IFRS knowledge is preferred)</li>
<li>Analytical as well as Process oriented</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Prior working knowledge in ERP systems (ex: SAP)</li>
<li>Knowledge of Excel, Power Point and other Microsoft office tools</li>
<li>Detail-oriented and organized</li>
</ul>
