What you’ll be doing  

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, and analytical review, with a clear shift from transactional bookkeeping to value-added financial analysis.

The role requires strong cross-functional interaction and ownership of account quality.

This role is ideal for an Accountant who enjoys owning numbers end-to-end, engaging with stakeholders, and moving closer to analysis and decision support, while still maintaining strong reporting discipline.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Own month-end closing activities for assigned entities.

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

  • Perform P&L variance analysis, investigate movements, and provide clear explanations.

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, including IFRS 16.

  • Support audit processes and liaise with internal/external auditors as needed.

  • Prepare reporting decks and financial summaries using Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Work closely with Shared Services, Commercial, and Finance teams to resolve open items and drive closure.

  • Contribute to the transition from bookkeeping-focused work to analysis-driven finance support.

  • Act as a custodian of accounts, ensuring data integrity and accountability.

What you’ll need to succeed  

  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of accounting experience.

  • You are preferably ACCA certified, or possess another related certification.

  • You preferably have experience in a retail environment or high-volume environment.

  • You preferably have an audit background, with a preference for Big 4 experience.

  • You possess strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • You are proactive and possess an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and explain financial data.

  • You preferably have experience in SAP system.
