Overview of the role
We are currently looking for Business Sector Manager – Freight & Relocation for Al Futtaim Logistics in KSA Jeddah. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire operations and financial performance of the Freight and Relocation Department within Al Futtaim Logistics for KSA.
What you will do
- Ensure the profitability and growth of the Freight Management (Air, Sea and Multi modal transport) Divisions through efficient and effective management, strong proactive leadership, strong Employee Engagement and Key Customer interaction within the Kingdom
- Responsible for all the operational and financial performance of the Freight Management Department of Al Futtaim Logistics – Freight & Relocation Dept, KSA.
- Develop Oil & Gas Vertical within Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- In-depth understanding and total ownership of the P&L and Budget to monitor progress and control cost within the Sector
- Set signed SLAs with customer
- Develop Operating Plans and ensure targets have been achieved through regular review
- Report Monthly KPI’s & Financials to the Management/Customer
- Develop and recommend for business the relationship with Strategic partners in local market
- Develop and recommend accurate and realistic business process.
- Maintain an effective but lean organization.
- Developing SOP’s to maintain a clear and transparent system processes
- Provide suggestions and raise areas of concern in order to meet customer expectations
- Ensure that succession planning, skills-sharing & multi-tasking forms an integral part of the team building strategy so as to maximise flexibility and continuity.
- Follow guidelines of Freight & Relocation management while dealing with international agents for handling AFL business at the foreign port of origin.
- Keep track of changing Government regulations and educate and monitor team to on strict compliance.

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers – Key Account Management
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Suppliers, Government authorities like Customs, Port, etc
- Follow-up with customers and suppliers to assure that products and services meet their needs.
Required skills to be successful
- 5 years’ managerial experience in a Freight and Local Services Management environment in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Strong operational knowledge on Freight Management, Fleet Management & Relocations
- Knowledge of GCC road networks and operations
- Experience with Oil & Gas Vertical within Kingdom of Saudi Arabi
About the team
The role will report to the General Manager, and you will be managing a team of direct associates. You will be working in a dynamic and busy environment wherein you will be dealing directly with different Stakeholders across the organization.
What equips you for the role
- Degree or Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics
- Extensive experience in Freight & Relocation operations in KSA
- Must have awareness about Freight industry and its products & services
- Knowledge of GCC road networks and operations, International documentation requirements, Freight Management, Fleet Management, Relocations and routing and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to solve problems quickly
