Job Summary:The Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible for assisting the Director of Engineering in overseeing the engineering operations of the company. They will play a crucial role ensuring that all machinery and equipment are maintained and in good working condition., they will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, and ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.Job Responsibilities:1. Assist the Director of Engineering in planning, organizing, and coordinating the overall engineering operations of the company.2. Supervise and guide a team of engineers and technicians to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of all tasks.3. Monitor and maintain all machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.4. Develop preventive maintenance programs and schedules to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.5. Respond to and resolve any mechanical or technical issues that may arise, including emergencies, breakdowns, and malfunctions.6. Forecast and budget for the department’s needs, including equipment purchases, repairs, and maintenance supplies.7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, and promptly address any safety concerns or violations.8. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in engineering technology and ensure that the company remains at the forefront of industry best practices.. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance and repair activities, including inventories, work orders, and service contracts.10. Collaborate with other departments to support their engineering needs and address any cross-functional issues.Candidate Requirements:1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or facilities management industry.3. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.4. Excellent leadership and team management, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.5. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strong attention to detail.6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.7.
