Market Understanding and Event Development

– Develop strong knowledge about each show within your assigned portfolio using all available resources and information including show brochures, post show reports, etc.

– Attend exhibitions, conferences, events, seminars and review competitive publications for business development and market monitoring purposes

– Develop and update your event’s website, sponsorship and branding opportunities within assigned portfolio in coordination with the creative and marketing teams

– Develop new event features in coordination with marketing to improve the exhibitor and visitor experience and raise recommendations to your direct manager based on accurate event gap assessments

Space and Sponsorship Sales                                                                          

– Manage key accounts by maintaining good relationships with current or new associations and local governmental entities to maintain or gain support for the company’s events

– Develop a sales strategy for the events in your assigned portfolio to maximize exhibitor and sponsorship sales in coordination with your direct manager, International Sales, and Head of Marketing

– Provide excellent consultative sales approach to clients and after sales client management, while maximizing rebooking for future editions of your event

– Sell exhibition space and value added products such as sponsorship or advertising to previous and new exhibitors over the phone and face to face to meet and exceed sales targets across events portfolio

– Manage day to day personal and team sales pipelines and related administration

– Ensure that all details and relevant updated forms such as show brochure, post-show reports space contract forms, and corresponding show floorplan are communicated to interested clients

Project Team Coordination & Reporting

– Contribute to developing the event marketing strategy to maximize visitor and exhibitor attendance

– Lead event planning and debrief sessions with the relevant internal teams such as sales, marketing, database, and operations, ensuring client requirements are met and improvement ideas are acted upon

– Develop and analyze the event budget through accurate forecasting and cost assessment in coordination with the accounting and finance team

– Coordinate internally for the signature and dispatch of space contracts and step in where needed to support the accountant in following up on clients’ payments

– Update the operations team on all floorplan changes, additions, or sponsorship amendments on time

– Coordinate with the operations team onsite to ensure the smooth running of the event

– Involve team members in brainstorming sessions on sales tactics, event promotion ideas, etc.

– Provide your direct manager with up-to-date targets and sales figures achieved or in the pipeline, and report on relationship development (meetings, calls, partnerships done) with clients
