Job Summary:As a Laundry Order Taker, you will be responsible for receiving and processing laundry and dry cleaning orders from hotel guests. This position is for the pre-opening phase of a newly established hotel.Job Responsibilities:- Greet and assist hotel guests in a professional and courteous manner when they drop off or pick up their laundry orders.- Receive and record all laundry and dry cleaning orders accurately, ensuring that guest details and special instructions are properly documented.- Sort and organize laundry and dry cleaning items based on color, fabric, and special care instructions.- Inspect all items for stains, damages, or any special requirements before sending them for cleaning.- Ensure that all laundry and dry cleaning orders are processed in a timely manner, meeting the hotel’s standards for quality and service.- Keep track of laundry inventory and communicate with suppliers to ensure an adequate supply of clean linens, towels, and uniforms.- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, or requests related to laundry services, and escalate any issues to the appropriate department or management.- Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area, including sorting, folding, and organizing clean items for storage or delivery.- Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations at all times.- Participate in training programs and meetings as required by the hotel management.Candidate Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent education.- Previous experience as a Laundry Order Taker or in a similar customer service role within a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to accurately record and process laundry orders.- Knowledge of different fabrics, stains, and laundry care methods.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.- computer skills to enter and retrieve data from the laundry management system.- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy bags of laundry, as required.- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service.Job Details
