Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Stewarding Shift Leader to join our team in a pre-opening capacity. As a Stewarding Shift Leader, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the stewarding team, ensuring proper cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation.Job Responsibility:- Supervise and lead the stewarding team in the pre-opening phase, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to established standards and procedures.- Plan and assign daily tasks and responsibilities to stewarding staff, ensuring efficient and timely execution.- Train and mentor stewarding staff on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, as well as safe handling of equipment and chemicals.- Monitor and enforce food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations.- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and dining areas, identifying and rectifying any cleanliness or maintenance issues.- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure timely and efficient supply of clean utensils, equipment, and supplies.- Maintain inventory of stewarding supplies, ordering and replenishing as needed.- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for stewarding operations.- Provide performance feedback and support to stewarding staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Candidate Requirements:- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a pre-opening setting.- Strong knowledge of sanitation and hygiene practices in a kitchen and dining environment.- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic, simultaneously.- Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, formal training in stewarding or a related field is a plus.- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations is highly desirable.Job Details
