Overview of the role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Technical Training Consultant for our Automotive division (for Toyota & Lexus) to play an active part in a team of dedicated trainers in developing competent productive associates by way of assessments, on the job development activities and coaching, supported with engaging training programs as required by Al-Futtaim Automotive Group, underpinned by the respective Brand standards. The role will cover training needs analysis, design, development, planning, curriculum design and implementation of technical training programs utilizing a blended learning approach, including impact measurement. Activities will include, Digital Material development, Video Recording, Face to Face Training Delivery assessments and on-site support and coaching.

What you will do

<ul>
<li>Ensure all training material is up to date and in line with modern repair methods and technology</li>
<li>Responsible for delivering and supporting all components of associate progress through to certification</li>
<li>Arranging and conducting competency testing and assessments</li>
<li>Developing and updating training programmes and material</li>
<li>Reporting learner attendance, results, and any issues, with emphasis on protecting learner & customer data</li>
<li>Actively promote equal opportunities and diversity in accordance to company policy avoiding discrimination </li>
<li>Facilitate training needs analysis of retail market, advise according to market trends and distributor guidelines</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with management activities through one on ones and monitoring of daily distributor activities</li>
<li>Assist with the orientation, training and coaching of staff, management and other stakeholders to increase efficiency within the workplace in line with the associated business improvement required</li>
<li>Participate and execute adherence to company and distributor policy and procedure compliance</li>
<li>Ensure the successful implementation of distributor technical training, fix it right activities, value chain and distributor fundamentals training activities</li>
<li>Monitor, review and implement occupational health and safety, operational standards, technical support training activities</li>
<li>Conduct on-going dealer visits to identify individual training requirements, network support and complete post course follow up evaluations</li>
<li>Support all branches with training in relation to technical support in terms of campaigns, service schedules and equipment audits</li>
<li>Support new model launch activities and external company training by way of material development with the support of the technical training team subsequent delivery</li>

<li>Ability to manage own schedule and adjust priorities and structure time in a fast-paced environment </li>
<li>Ability to maintain strong, accurate administration skills </li>
<li>Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner and listen attentively to understand and then be understood</li>
<li>PC Literate, proficient in Microsoft Office programs and video authoring and editing software</li>
<li>Ability to develop tailored training materials to suit the local market</li>
</ol>

What equips you for the role

<li>High level of proficiency in both written and Spoken English, (additional languages advantageous)</li>
<li>High level of proficiency with digital learning platforms & material / video editing software</li>
<li>Driving License</li>
<li>Technical area applicable to the technical discipline (Passenger Cars)</li>
<li>Adult learning or training and assessment certificate or equivalent </li>
<li>Min of 2 years of Technical Training or Coaching role </li>
<li>Min of 5 years of Automotive Industry Experience </li>
<li>Proficient to Master Technician Level or industry equivalent </li>
<li>Customer Facing Role Experience Advantage</li>
<li>Assessment qualification Advantage</li>
<li>Ability to demonstrate modern vehicle diagnostic and repair methods? </li>
