- Plans, monitors, installs and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system.
- Performs installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to facility’s existing cooling systems.
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioners.
- Ventilate equipment and controls, making sure they operate efficiently and continuously.
- Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
- Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.
- Make adjustments and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
- Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment.
- Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.
- Plan and design new air-conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance. Inspect and maintain refrigerators and ice machines, and chilled water supply systems.
