Business Data Analyst – PROVEN

Key Requirements

• Be an integral part of the software development life cycle, from gathering and documenting specifications through programming and managing testing and delivery.
• Analyze the structure of the ministry’s business requirements, how it uses technology and what its goals are
• Identify problems within the ministry, by meeting with stakeholders and examining existing infrastructure and solutions
• Communicate with senior people at the ministry to find out what they hope to achieve and any data requirements they might need to formulate the business case
• Oversee the implementation of new technologies and systems as well as the acquisition of data
• Run workshops and training sessions
• Use advanced models and/or tools to extract any requested data (from data scientists, BI specialists or other data users)
• Perform initial analysis to assess the quality of the data (throughout the data acquisition process) and cleanse data
• Work with databases (SQL, mySQL), and other file formats (XML, JSON, or ETL frameworks) and its correlation to the UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience)
• Perform further analysis to determine and document the metadata of datasets
• Prepare reports based on analysis of data and present results to leadership
