Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Recruit, train, and motivate a team of employees, including sales associates, cashiers, and support staff. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to maximize individual and team performance.
Sales and Customer Service: Implement sales strategies and promotional activities to drive store revenue and meet sales targets. Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, order merchandise as needed, and ensure accurate stock counts. Minimize stock shrinkage and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover.
Store Operations: Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
Visual Merchandising: Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to create attractive displays and effectively showcase products, driving customer interest and sales.
Budgeting and Financial Performance: Monitor and control store expenses, labor costs, and other operational budgets. Work to achieve and exceed financial targets while adhering to company guidelines.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, providing a safe and secure shopping environment for customers and employees.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze sales reports, inventory reports, and other performance metrics. Use data insights to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Vendor and Supplier Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and managing the procurement process effectively.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance store efficiency, customer experience, and employee engagement. Implement best practices and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in retail management, preferably as a store manager or assistant store manager.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
Business acumen with a focus on sales, profitability, and financial performance.
Proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, and retail software.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in the retail industry.
Knowledge of retail trends, consumer behavior, and market competition.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively
