Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.
- Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
- Actively participates in all the education requirements and activities per the Hospital Education Program.
- Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
- Carries out outpatient clinical duties under the direction of the consultant to whom assigned.
- Maintains up to date medical records according to current rules and regulations. Maintains proficiency in the appropriate level of CPR certification.
- Provide planning,development and evaluation of hearing and speech services within wider adult andpediatric services.
- Attends departmental meetings and education activities. To act as part of multi-disciplinary department staff group.
- Review referrals and patient’s records to determinenature of the objective.
- Patient, family and caregiver education regarding the use of assistive devices, adapted equipment from the speech and hearing point of view.
- Update and revise applicable assessmentforms.
- Assist follower-graded employees/interns with their orientation and training. Provides input for performance evaluations.
