Head of Nutrition – Black & Grey HR

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a new and innovative pet food manufacturing company in the Middle East. Our client is looking to hire a skilled Nutritionist to join them as a Head of Nutrition in Cairo, Egypt. As a Head of Nutrition, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing pet food formulas that prioritize the health and wellness of pets while adhering to regulatory guidelines and industry standards. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in driving product innovation and ensuring the highest level of nutritional quality in our pet food offerings.​

<br />Responsibilities:

<br />- Formulation Development: Develop, enhance, and optimize pet food formulations tailored to the specific nutritional needs of various pet species (such as dogs, cats) and life stages (including puppies, kittens, seniors).
<br />- Ingredient Sourcing: Partner with the procurement team to acquire high-quality ingredients that align with our nutritional standards and ethical sourcing guidelines.
<br />- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure that all pet food products meet essential nutritional and labeling requirements.
<br />- Quality Control: Collaborate closely with the quality assurance team to uphold rigorous standards of quality control throughout the entire production process.
<br />- Research and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest research and trends in pet nutrition to identify opportunities for enhancing products and fostering innovation.
<br />- Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production, to introduce new products to the market and provide accurate nutritional information to support marketing efforts.
<br />- Customer Support: Offer nutritional expertise to address customer inquiries and resolve concerns related to our pet food products.

<br />Requirements
<br />- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, or a related field.
<br />- Proven experience in pet nutrition formulation and product development.
<br />- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for pet food production.  
<br />- Passion for pets and their well-being. 
<br />- Certification as a Professional Animal Nutritionist.
