OBJECTIVE/ PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure this department’s continuous growth and generation of revenue by promoting companies’ products to customers, making the marketing plan in line with the principal strategy and work rigorously on execution of the same on timely manner, He individually contributes at an expert level to meet set short to medium term objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer/ Supplier: External:
- Promotes companies’ products to customers on daily basis and attends to their concerns & issues.
- Ensures proper transfer of information from clients to suppliers and vice versa.
- Prepares technical & commercial proposals & offers.
- Informs Suppliers of any adverse product performances to take suitable action on time.
- Updates clients of latest product releases and other developments.
- Develops good relationships with Logistics team & management of suppliers.
Customer/ Supplier: Internal:
- First level customer/ supplier interface
- Solves Tier 1 escalated problems within prescribed guidelines ensuring complete customer/ supplier satisfaction and contributing towards developing customer loyalty and principal retention.
- Interface with Finance & logistics team to ensure on-time deliveries of products and collections of payments from customers and goods ordering and payments to suppliers
- Monitors internal stock level to maintain proper supply chain.
- Prepare yearly forecasts & budgets and draw up weekly/monthly action plans to achieve the same.
- Work closely with all departments, especially the project team to ensure timely execution of projects.
Analysis:
- Gathers and derives knowledge from moderately complex and difficult to source data, which are from multiple sources.
- Analyses market trend, new product-worthiness, doctor’s skills and demand to provide specific product support to customers and also to devise procurement & stock strategy
- Timely analysis of issues and product concerns to provide on-the-spot trouble-shooting wherever possible.
- Analyses accounts receivable ageing reports and provides reports to DM & FM.
- Conducts competitive quality analysis on products being promoted.
- Analyses brand performances for negotiations with suppliers for price, credit & other commercial terms.
Innovation:
- Identifies needs and improvement opportunity and provides information to Managers or Suppliers in order to facilitate change or improvement.
- Provides recommendations for product promotions, special offers & projects.
Operations:
- Responsible for planning and maintaining inventory of the department.
- Responsible for proper expiry management of products.
- Ensure timely invoicing, deliveries and installation of related products at Customer site.
- Follow up tough collection accounts.
- Negotiate better pricing & offers with suppliers.
- Monitors work of Sub-contractors/ consultants, whenever they’re employed for projects.
- Assists Project Team in executing related projects.
