  • Manage Employee Relations department’s budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process
  • Manage Employee Relations department effectively within budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
  • Formulate initiatives that result in positive financial impact for Employee Relations department and mitigate financial and operational risks

·        Oversee the daily operations of Employee Relations section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies and procedures

·        Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and departmental requirements, policies and standards

·        Provide assistance to Al Majed for Oud’s other departments on issues pertinent to job function; participate in performing routine checks and inspections to ensure the highest safety and quality standards are being maintained if required

·        Adapt to, and participate in, any programs/changes in Al Majed for Oud including but not limited to strategic initiatives, operational initiatives and performance uplift tasks; conduct any relevant work that may result from these changes as an integral part of this job description and employment contract

·        Help support the organization in extraordinary events such as claims by contractors, dispute reviews and participation in arbitration

·        Proactively seek out information that is relevant to job role whether internally or externally to efficiently and effectively deliver

·        Remain up to date with context of Al Majed for Oud and the role within it to provide insight on potential opportunities and/or challenges

·        Contribute to the execution and delivery of any activities as and when required to ensure the continuity of work in the absence of other colleagues

·        Oversee the implementation of practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale

·        Develop, implement, administer employee relations program

  • Ensure Employee Relations Section complies with Al Majed for Oud policies and processes, practices and systems, and maintain Al Majed for Oud high standard of work and work ethic
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of Employee Relations department’s policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of activity, ensuring all relevant procedural/statutory requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality and cost-effective results
  • Lead and direct change management through continuous improvement of Employee Relations department’s systems, processes and practices, proactively taking into account leading practices, changes in the business environment
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with other functions
  • Help instill a culture of development, guidance and performance within Employee Relations department
  • Guide, mentor and develop the Employee Relations department team to take larger and more complex responsibilities
  • Identify and recruit key talent for the Employee Relations department
  • Provide clear top-down communication to employees and bottom-up feedback to top management
  • Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate / appraise direct reports, and provide regular feedback on performance
  • Establish a high-performance working environment within the Employee Relations department
