Job purpose (Role)

  • Quality coordinator makes sure that the MS process is being carried out as per standard and the product delivered to the customer is of good quality and as per customer’s requirements.  
  • The coordinator promotes develops and oversees compliance of the company MS.
  • Effectively assuring compliance of customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, procedures, programs, and practices while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·     Ensures compliance with the customer requirements, quality policy, company standards, regulatory and external standards.

·     Ensure quality objectives are set by top management for measuring the performance of the IMS and that these are regularly reviewed.

·     monitoring quality control inspectors. Direct and coordinate the activities of team engaged in quality functions-including inspection, analysis, and training.

·     Reporting determinations or dispositions related to non-conforming products.

·     Implement measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product, quality, efficiency, and morale.

·     monitoring policies and procedures to ensure quality product.

·     Compile quality control reports, report non-conformity material discrepancy reports and recommend continuous improvement activities.

·     Ensure appropriate calibration of quality equipment.

·     Manage and maintain company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process material, process-chemicals, and finished goods.

·     Interact directly with customers to discuss and fulfill their product requirements.

·     Effectively interact with production and maintenance department to maintain process flow and quality.

·     Work with shipping and logistics to integrate quality standards.

·     Work and interact directly with suppliers to ensure compliance of supplied material.

·     Work with purchasing department to establish and maintain required quality standards for purchased items.

·     Ensure that all suppliers used by the organization are selected, evaluated, and re-evaluated and that records of this assessment are maintained.

·     Investigate and record customers’ complaints regarding product and service.

·     Ensure that records are established and maintained to provide evidence that the IMS is being followed, retrieval, retention time and disposition of such records.

·     Co-ordinate continual improvements of the IMS, ensuring that evidence of corrective and preventive actions taken is recorded and reviewed.

·     Communicate and share the company philosophies to key personnel in the company.
