Senior Auditor – Mazars Qatar

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Auditor to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Senior Auditor, you will be responsible for leading and executing financial audits, evaluating internal controls, and identifying areas of improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and auditing, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, coordinate, and conduct financial audits in accordance with audit standards and company policies.
2. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
3. Review financial statements, accounting records, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
4. Perform risk assessments and develop audit procedures to address identified risks.
5. Prepare audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and action plans.
6. Collaborate with management to implement recommendations and monitor progress.
7. Stay updated on changes to accounting and auditing regulations and standards.
8. Mentor and train junior auditors, providing guidance and support.
9. Assist in the development and improvement of audit methodologies and tools.
10. Conduct special investigations or ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA.
3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in auditing, preferably in a Big Four accounting firm or similar environment.
4. Must be Arabic speaker.
5. Ready to join immediately.
6. Thorough understanding of auditing principles, standards, and techniques.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
10. Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications.
11. Experience with data analytics and using data visualization tools.
12. Knowledge of Qatar’s regulatory environment and accounting standards.
