Commis Chef – Foodera Restaurant management

We are currently seeking a skilled Commis Chef to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals, ensuring that all dishes are served in a timely manner and to the highest standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality.
2. Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the Head Chef, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
3. Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards, meeting customer expectations and adhering to food safety regulations.
4. Collaborate with other members of the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
6. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food, maintaining a clean work environment, and practicing good hygiene.
7. Stay updated with industry trends and new cooking techniques, continuously improving culinary skills and knowledge.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
2. Strong passion for cooking and a good understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
3. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other kitchen staff.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
7. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
