A Procurement Engineer is in charge of overseeing and managing the procurement process in an organization. Their responsibilities include sourcing, selecting, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services for projects or operations. They aim to execute procurement activities efficiently, negotiate favorable terms, and achieve cost savings without compromising quality. Building supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery, managing inventory, and implementing effective procurement strategies are crucial aspects of their role.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Civil/Mechanical engineering /Architecture / Building Services or equivalent.
  • 2 – 5 years of working experience related to construction.
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors).
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Language: Professional English language; written & spoken. Native Arabic speaker ( preferable ), .
