Accounting Consultant (Accounts Payable & Cash) – Future Careers Middle East

On behalf of a global Retailer, we are hiring an ambitious and talented Accounting Consultant (Accounts Payable & Cash) to join their Riyadh team.

Supervise the day-to-day activities of staff to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and general integrity of the accounts payable and cash accounting function and related reports.

 

Key Accountabilities

Accounts Payable

• Ensuring adherence to the accounting department’s policies and procedures.
• Manage, and approve the monthly payment requests to suppliers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and the general integrity of the accounts payable function Review and verify data entered into the financial data processing system.
• Manage the supplier master files.
• Ensure all invoices are reviewed and verified for proper documentation.
• Respond to, and handle vendor inquiries.
• Prepare summaries of balances, cost information or other statements.
• Prepare monthly A/P closing reports.

 Petty Cash

• Manage, and approve Petty Cash payments.

 

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor cash and implement the cash management strategy to ensure that sufficient cash resources are available to meet disbursement and reimbursement requirements as they become due.
• Prepare consolidated cash balance reports regularly.
• Maintain updated records of all cash management-related documents in compliance with regulatory requirements and approved policies.

Reporting and Audit Support

• Check and analyze financial information and prepare more complex financial reports and accounting statements.
• Communicate and report the status of pending critical payments to ensure management’s awareness of delays affecting operations,
• Coordinate projects involving internal and external audits to ensure that they have appropriate access to information and people within the organization
• Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of junior accountants.
