Façade Structural Engineer – Facade Jobs

You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, optimizing and overseeing structural systems for building façades, ensuring safety, performance, and aesthetic appeal. This role is pivotal in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality façade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Analysis:

• Conduct structural analysis and design or building façades, focusing on glass sliding doors, curtain walls, and canopies.
• Proficiency in Dlubal RFEM and Autodesk Inventor is essential. Experience with STAAD Pro or Robot is also acceptable, but RFEM proficiency is preferred. Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools to create and review design plans.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and standards such as ASCE 7, ASTM E1300, and other relevant façade guidelines, such as “facade notes”. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to integrate structural elements into the overall design.
• Provide technical guidance and support during the planning and execution phases of projects.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct site visits to inspect and verify construction work, ensuring it meets design specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve structural issues or discrepancies during construction.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.

Innovation and Development:

• Research and implement new materials, technologies, and methods to improve structural performance and sustainability.
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with industry trends and advancements.
