What you’ll be doing
The Strategic Insights Manager plays a
pivotal role within the Strategy function, supporting top management by
providing valuable data-driven insights. This role involves close collaboration
with cross-functional stakeholders and industry partners to develop
comprehensive thought leadership studies that turn research and data into
relevant strategic insights for the luxury industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop market and category insights, and benchmark competitive landscapes through research, industry interviews, and market visits
- Conduct market sizing for international and local markets across various verticals, including beauty, fashion, and homeware
- Monitor emerging trends and relevant news in the luxury industry, including strategies of key luxury players, to contextualize our business environment
- Work closely with the Corporate Strategy team and Internal Consulting team to leverage market insights and data in evaluating and supporting key strategic projects, Group initiatives, and ad-hoc management requests
- Bridge the overall Strategy team with the Intelligence and Consumer Research teams to consolidate, analyze, and interpret all relevant information
- Understand the business needs of different Business Units and brands to support the development of relevant market presentations and extract key problematics and insights
- Lead flagship reports from scoping to execution and presentation
- Recommend new tools and methodologies for data analysis to enhance department
What you’ll need to succeed
- 5-6 years of experience in a research and data-driven role within luxury or Trend Foresight or Consumer and Market Insights company focused on luxury fashion.
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Luxury Management
- Extensive knowledge of the luxury, beauty, and fashion retail industries with good business acumen and understanding of strategic business needs
- Ability to connect the dots using various data sources, including industry reports, research tools, and companies’ financial reports
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to work with complex data from multiple sources (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau) and transform it into strategic insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership teams
- Strong project management skills with high attention to accuracy and detail
- Proactive hands-on mentality, curiosity, and a collaborative team player
