Job Summary

  • The Facilities Management Operations Director maintain the keep up services of the Company’s properties/facilities within the quality standard and budget. Manage the maintenance activities of the Company’s facilities. Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing building operations and services. Analyze utility bills and energy output, allocates office space to departments, purchases equipment, and maintain appearance of building. This position also assists in the development of policies and procedures affecting usage of the facilities management.

Job Responsibilities 1

  • Lead the maintenance teams in planning, implementing and adhering to the approved policies, procedures and schedules to ensure that the Company’s objectives and needs are met.
  • Manage and prioritize maintenance and repair needs. Directly or through supervision of workers or external vendors complete all required work. Oversee selection and on-going contracts with outside vendors for regular maintenance issues.
  • Manages the Health and Safety for the Facilities and the facilities team, ensuring a safe working and learning environment in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Manage the day to day management and coordination of all maintenance and cleaning tasks, ensuring all works are completed on time, maximizing availability and minimizing the potential for any risk and downtime
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to quality standards, specifications. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet organizational needs. Coordinate all required building inspections. Complete and maintain necessary documentation and reports for compliance.
  • Ensures all statutory maintenance inspections and maintenance works required are carried out as defined in the planned preventative maintenance schedules (all work to be consistent with all relevant environmental, safety and performance standards).
  • Develop and implements a business (service) plan with relevant performance indicators to achieve the business objectives and targets using comprehensive financial and management information systems to effectively monitor and report on performance and continuous improvements.

Job Responsibilities 2

Ensure that all relevant Health and Safety regulations and legislation is complied with and that procedures are adhered to by members of the Facilities team.

Manage the Facilities Management budget in accordance with procedures agreed Financial Management and Procedures Policy.

Implement the strategy to maximize income through innovative marketing. Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money

Ensure to review and undertake ad hoc procurement of maintenance spares and consumable items ensuring optimum quality, availability and best value for money.
