What You’ll Be Doing
The e-commerce Marketplace Manager is responsible for the marketplace strategy and execution of the various e-commerce Market place. The role works across technology, fulfillment and item set-up teams to ensure proper system and execution of the daily operations of the channels. As a marketplace manager, you will be responsible to increase market share and drive profitable growth across our digital channels.
Working closely with the brand teams, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing commercial strategies to accelerate marketplace for each partner
- Setting financial targets, budgets, and incentives to support key partners
- Drive strategy and oversight of several marketplace e-commerce channels and responsible for the product/channel mix and optimization between marketplaces on a weekly basis
- Plan weekly, monthly and annual forecast for channels as well as item and category projection for inventory management
- Manage the relationship with key partners management of account expectations forecast and individual account growth
- Collaborating with As is Business team ,CRM and digital marketing on acquisition and retention to grow our share of business.
- Defining a marketing calendar including promotions and product launches to monetize the marketplace
- Leading monthly business reviews with key partners; identifying growth opportunities
- Benchmarking and improving the UX in partnership with the product team
- Prioritising initiatives based on expected ROI and shaping the product roadmap
- Being a positive ambassador of the broader e-commerce organisation & culture
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Preferred strong connections in the retail and beauty industry, commercial knowledge, including understanding margins, contracts, and merchant/brand relationships
- Technical experience with marketplace software, specifically Mirakl and P&L ownership experience.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Ability to handle commercial negotiations
- Knowledge of logistics, customer service, and legal constraints within a marketplace environment
- Ability to manage and expedite cross-functional tasks and projects
- Ability to report effectively
