On behalf of Wear That, we are looking to hire a Merchandise Planning Manager who is enthusiastic and results driven. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, sharply analytical problem-solver with proven planning acumen and the ability to adapt to the Wear That business model. In this new role, you will have the opportunity to establish and refine working processes for how we accelerate the growth of Brands and Private Label, and be motivated to drive results with relevant stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing
- Establish efficient processes, tools, and best practices to create a solid foundation for our rapidly growing business.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, and formulate actionable recommendations to address business and client needs in an environment that embraces change.
- Create pre-season plans and collaborate with Buyers in the seasonal line planning process.
- Manage and maintain in-season OTB forecasts in collaboration with Buyers to optimize business performance.
- Ensure the success of one or more departments by meeting or exceeding plans for sales volume, inventory turnover, and gross margin for multiple channels.
- Form strong working relationships with the Buying team, and Product Development team to provide financial guidance on Brands and Private Label.
- Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Forecast receipt flow to ensure optimal inventory levels that balance liability and opportunity.
- Oversee a team – developing, managing, and leading their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Work closely with the Ecommerce team.
- Assess and evaluate inventory risks and opportunities in a high-growth environment.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis based on historical performance, product attributes, and customer attributes.
- Ensure appropriate coverage and inventory levels in basic and seasonal basic SKU.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Have a degree (preferably a BS in a business-related field) with 5+ years of prior retail planning and e-commerce experience.
- Have a deep understanding of retail math, merchandising financials, and profitability KPIs.
- Are highly proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, etc.) and capable of quickly
manipulating and analyzing data sets to build insightful reports. - Are experienced in tops-down and bottoms-up planning.
- Have strong planning and organizational skills.
- Are comfortable and confident making decisions and recommendations grounded in data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills able to clearly tell the story behind the data and its resulting insights.
- Are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment that embraces change.
- Have a bias towards action, are results-focused, and detail-oriented.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Are able to achieve results amidst shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Are a quick learner with analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to solve problems creatively.
