Job Description:
As a Copy Editor, you will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining written content to ensure it is clear, concise, and error-free. You will work closely with writers, content creators, and other editorial staff to maintain the highest standards of quality in all published materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and edit content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, and accuracy.
Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and style across all written materials.
Fact-check content to verify accuracy and credibility of information.
Collaborate with writers to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Maintain adherence to company style guides and editorial policies.
Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Assist in the development and maintenance of editorial guidelines and best practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, language usage, and editorial standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience as a Copy Editor or in a similar editorial role.
Exceptional command of the English language, with strong grammar and writing skills.
Experience with various style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago Manual of Style).
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing error-free content.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
Proficiency in using editing software and tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, Grammarly).
Additional Skills:
Experience editing content for different formats, including print, web, and social media.
Understanding of SEO principles and the ability to edit content for search engine optimization.
Basic knowledge of HTML and experience working with CMS platforms.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
