Cssd Technician – The Clinics

Job Objective:

The Sterilization Technician is responsible for cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment according to approved health standards, ensuring a safe and contamination-free work environment in healthcare facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Sterilize medical instruments and equipment using autoclaves and other sterilization devices.
2. Clean and prepare surgical instruments following infection control guidelines.
3. Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good condition before and after sterilization.
4. Store medical tools properly to ensure easy access when needed.
5. Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and healthcare workers.
6. Prepare regular reports on sterilization processes and equipment usage.
7. Ensure the availability of necessary supplies for sterilization and request materials when needed.
8. Engage in continuous training on the latest sterilization techniques to comply with the highest health standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma or certified training in medical sterilization or a related field.
• Practical experience in medical sterilization (preferred but not required).
• Good knowledge of using various sterilization devices.
• Ability to adhere to strict health standards.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a team and handle work pressure.

Work Environment:

• Work in hospitals, clinics, or medical laboratories.
• May require overtime or night shifts depending on the needs of the healthcare facility.

Note: A certification in infection control or sterilization training is preferred to ensure compliance with required health standards.
