Overview of the role

To lead technical training and support required within the Al-Futtaim New Energy Network. Aligning the Al-Futtaim standards to IMI international standards for Passenger Vehicle, EV/HV and ADAS certification. Working closely with relevant Brand Technical Support Managers to assess training needs, identify the gaps, prepare development plans for technicians, and accordingly impart plans and training. To be the focal point of contact / support for providing diagnostic support for New Energy vehicles on technical issues, also by ensuring the availability of necessary special tools, technical literature, and service bulletins at locations.

What you will do

<ul>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Continuously refining the EV Curriculum to stay leaders in the region, aligning to the latest models, technology, legislation and certification guidelines.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Coordinate all IMI activities across the centre, ensure all delivery and assessment meeting the required standards. Liaise with IMI in all areas Business Development / Quality Assurance/ Certification / Registration.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Work with the NEV brand principals and IMI to ensure the brand standards are achieved and the latest information and working practices are being followed.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Design and implement a trainee/apprenticeship program in partnership with reputable overseas institutes to form a talent pool of certified technicians.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>eLearning and Digital content creation to support continuous improvement of the technical training to support the Automotive network in the UAE and overseas.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Work with Aftersales Managers and Branch Managers to continually improve the customer experience supporting any campaigns, newmodel launch activities, promotions and first-time fix.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Promote and monitor all NEV HSSE related issues, to ensure safe handling of any high voltage equipment and providing improvement recommendations and follow up activities throughout the network.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Actively promote the automotive group, associate, and customer engagement activities, whilst promoting Al-Futtaim Automotive as a great place to work.</li>

Required Skills to be successful

<ol>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training and assessment solutions, Face to Face, Digital, Virtual etc. and experience with partnering with third parties.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Strong communicator in written and spoken communications, articulate and confident standing up and delivering to large audiences.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Organised, self-starter and an inspirational leader with analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Managing Senior management expectations and concerns and have effective negotiation and consultation skills.</li>
</ol>

What equips you for the role

<ul>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Degree or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering or extensive and specialized training in Electrical Vehicles. </li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Minimum 5 years of Technical Training or Coaching role, with 5 years of Automotive Industry background and Electric or Hybrid hands on experience of at least 3 years.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>High level of proficiency in both written and Spoken English (additional languages are advantageous).</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Adult learning or training and assessment certificate or equivalent.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>IMI EV Level 3 or 4 Certification.</li>
<li style=”text-align:justify”>Valid UAE driving Licence.</li>
</ul>
