  • Supervision of Subordinates
  • Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
  • Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
  • Budgets and Plans
  • Contribute to the preparation of the budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.
  • Private banking Strategy and Value Proposition
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of CBQ Private banking offering and value propositions through the provision of market insights, competitor analysis, and relating HNW customer feedbacks, in order to drive customers acquisition and profitability for the business.
  • Recommend and propose enhancement of the CBQ Private banking operating model and strategic plans for market penetration and acquisition for new business, in order to achieve departmental and group targets through pro-active sales and service.
  • Private Banking Sales
  • Allocate Private banking sales targets among the team, in order to provide business direction for the CBQ Private banking team.
  • Manage the preparation of proposals for CBQ HNW customers in order to achieve Private banking growth and profitability target.
  • In close coordination with Private banking investment, lead the effort to update the Private banking team knowledge on current investment climate and market trends, in order to formulate appropriate approach to acquire new business and or leverage existing relationship to increase profitability for the bank.

  • Private Banking Customer Service
  • Monitor and continuously review CBQ Private banking service quality by monitoring customer request/query responsiveness and overall team SLAs, in order to provide superior customer experience for the customer.
  • Private Banking Capability Building
  • Conduct periodic coaching and capability building program for CBQ Private banking team in order to drive team performance to achieve growth and profitability for the business.
  • Collect input from team and provide improvement suggestion for new or existing private banking operation, in order to ensure all business opportunities are optimized.
  • Private Banking Reporting
  • Direct the creation of periodic and or ad-hoc reports about Private banking team, in order to provide visibility on the team’s achievement against established business target.
  • Change Management
  • Lead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
  • Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of functional policies, procedures and controls in order to ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with risk, audit, and regulatory requirements while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
  • Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • MIS and ReportsEnsure that all departmental reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet CBQ department requirements, policies and standards.
