<p><u><b>Overview of the role</b></u></p>

<p>Provision of cost management, estimating, measurement and variation evaluation, selection and appointment of Consultants & Contractors, processing payments and administration of Agreements and Contracts within approved financial limits.</p>

<u><b>What you will do</b></u></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Analyse design, Prepare cost estimates and different stages of design, eg: Pre Concept, Concept, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare Bill of Quantities. </li>
<li>Supporting, as directed, line manager in provision of Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management Services for a portfolio of works or single large project.</li>
<li>Advising AFGRE team and clients on procurement of projects and consultancy services to meet time, quality and cost requirements of the development plan.</li>
<li>Providing commercial advice to AFGRE team and clients to ensure in all respects that risk is minimized, best value is achieved and to maximize the return in investment on projects developed.</li>
<li>Assisting in the preparation of project development feasibility studies and presentations prepared by the AFGRE team including collation and interpretation of cost data and benchmarking.</li>
<li>Report on project costs, budgets and risks/opportunities</li>
<li>Providing pre and post contract Quantity Surveying Services for the portfolio or projects including, without limitation, cost estimating, monthly accounts, review of cost and budget forecasts, value engineering, quantum analysis of claims and variation submissions, and final account settlement.</li>
<li>Monitoring and ensuring project insurance policies are maintained in relation to project construction works (Professional Indemnity, Contractors All Risk, Third Party, Other contract insurance requirements).</li>
<li>Perform prequalification of Contractors and Consultants.</li>
<li>Prepare Requests for proposal and negotiating agreements for contractors and consultants.</li>
<li>Preparing tender evaluation reports and advising on selection of tenderers.</li>
<li>Post Contract administration services for Consultancy and Contractor agreements.</li>
<li>Prepare payment certificates for Consultants, Contractor, Suppliers.</li>

<u><b>Required Skills to be successful</b></u></p>

<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>7 to 10 years of experience in Infrastructure, Retail, Residential, Commercial, High Rise, Hospitality construction experience is essential</li>
<li>Majority of the experience must be in Quantity Surveying / Client / Contractor.</li>
<li>Must have knowledge of FIDIC or other forms of Construction contracts.</li>
<li>Involvement in all commercial aspects for large scale projects from inception to completion.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills – fluency in English is a must. </li>
<li>UAE experience is a must.</li>
<li>Proficient in MS Office suites including MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Autocad software.</li>
<li>Knowledge of proprietary measurement software an advantage but not a necessity.</li>
<li>Knowledge and use of BIM (eg: Revit) an advantage. </li>

<li>Candidates will hold a bachelor degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) and have experience working on major projects preferably working on behalf of the client, contractor or a Professional Quantity Surveying practice.</li>
<li>Knowledge of construction process, procedures, preparing cost estimates, analysing design, managing construction cost and administering contracts gained through formal training or work experience.</li>
<li>Professional qualification (MRICS, MCIOB) a preference but not a necessity. </li>
