Staff Nurse – NICU – Ministry of Defense -Medical Services Directorate

Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Is familiar with all instruments required in various cases and specialties.
• Performs a variety of supportive and technical nursing skills and utilizes a range of equipment, supplies, medications, treatments, monitoring techniques and other diagnostics, therapeutic and supportive measures in carrying out medical orders.
• Able to manage and monitor patients having sedation.
• Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained and rights are upheld.
• Communicates and provides accurate and complete information through established verbal and written reports.
• Recognizes emergency situations and takes appropriate action providing clinical guidance, direction and coordination of activities for auxiliary staff.
• Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his / her knowledge skills and abilities.
