Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing ingredients for cooking.
Follow recipes and cooking techniques to prepare dishes according to established standards and specifications.
Operate kitchen equipment, such as grills, ovens, fryers, and food processors, safely and efficiently.
Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and assembly of menu items during peak hours.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and rotating food items to minimize waste.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures.
Collaborate with the kitchen team and management to develop new menu items, specials, and promotions.
Uphold company policies and procedures regarding food quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.
