Job Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Assistant. We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing orders for shipment, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming merchandise, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Organize and maintain inventory through proper labeling, shelving, and record-keeping.
Prepare and pack orders for shipment, including verifying items and packaging for safe transport.
Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate stock levels.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.
Keep the warehouse clean and organized, following safety protocols and guidelines.
Report any inventory or equipment issues to the Warehouse Manager.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is an asset.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items as required.
Basic computer skills for inventory management.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
