Assist. Estimator (Wood Industry)

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparing cost estimates for wood projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
2. Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
3. Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate and competitive bids.
4. Research and analyze costs of materials and services required for projects.
5. Prepare and submit bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
6. Track and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Assist in analyzing project profitability and recommend cost-saving measures.
8. Provide support to the project management team in evaluating change orders and variations.
9. Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines.
10. Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in construction costs.

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. 1-5 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the wood industry.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
6. Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work well in a team environment.
9. Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction industry regulations and standards.
10. Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
