Senior Manager – Landfill – Black & Grey HR

Black & Grey HR is excited to announce an exclusive opportunity with a top-tier waste management company in the UAE. Our client is seeking a Senior Manager for Landfill Operations who will play a crucial role in ensuring safe, sustainable, and cost-effective landfill operations, including waste disposal, storage, and diversion activities. This position requires coordination with various facilities to maximize waste diversion, improve recycling rates, and maintain compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage landfill operations for daily, safe, and efficient functioning.
– Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities for optimal landfill performance.
– Collaborate in designing structures for waste management systems.
– Develop and execute quality assurance plans for landfill construction projects.
– Undertake design work for landfill development, ensuring regulatory compliance.
– Plan, organize, and conduct waste management-related analysis and reporting.
– Perform engineering calculations pertinent to landfill design.
– Develop design-related documentation and plans.
– Oversee gas collection systems’ modeling, design, construction, and operation.
– Manage industrial and hazardous waste storage and disposal, ensuring compliance.

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or engineering (preferred).
– Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in waste management/landfill operations.
– Landfill Management certification is advantageous.
– Prior experience in landfill daily operations and planning.
– Fluency in written and spoken English (Arabic is advantageous).
– Ability to lead and direct large teams.
– Knowledge of landfill design guidelines.
