A Dietitian creates nutrition plans to improve the health and physical conditions of patients. Their main duties include analyzing patients health status, goals and dietary restrictions. Tracking client’s dietary intake and progress and educating patients on how to maintain a balanced diet.

Your main tasks:

• Provide advice and create dietary programs for both In and Out patients;
• Acts as a nutrition advocate for patient care;
• Identifies patients at nutrition risk;
• Performs nutrition assessment and documents nutrition care plan in the patient chart;
• Identifies, evaluates and coordinates patients receiving enteral and parenteral feedings;
• Provides education to patients, family members and other health care professionals;
• Assesses the nutritional adequacy of a patient’s diet and provides nutritional supplements, if necessary;
• Evaluate the appropriate therapeutic diet based on the patient’s nutritional needs and health status;
• Write reports and case notes accurately and maintain those patient records;
• Effectively follow the Policies & Procedures and Quality Standards;
• Consistently adhere to duty schedule and on-call schedule;
• Adhere to Infection Control and Health & Safety measures;
• Respect and implement patient and family rights.
