Job Summary

Te Country Finance Director leads the financial strategies to support the country’s strategic and operational objectives. Direct the day-to-day financial activities of the group; control its financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards. The position maintains financial and accounting policies and plans, maintains financial and accounting systems, and provides overall management for the budgeting, grants/contract management and audit/tax reporting functions.

Job Responsibilities 1

Responsible for the day to day operations of the Finance team and ensuring the work flow and supervision of the team is effective and obstacles to the process are cleared.

Overseeing and checking the finance and accounting team’s daily activities in respect of the general ledger accounts including payroll, VAT, cash flow management, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and directing/assisting when needed.

Ensuring an appropriate group internal control framework is in place to safeguard the business.

Job Responsibilities 2

 

Directs the operations of the Group Finance team, ensuring the development and maintenance of appropriate accounting systems, controls and records, ensuring compliance with statutory and related accounting and tax regulations and requirements.

Provides financial advice and information to the Board, Chief Executive, senior management, managers and external funders and act as the leading interface between management and the Board on financial and corporate service matters, ensuring clear and accurate financial communication of the financial position to all relevant stakeholders

Coordinates, analyzes and report the group financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)

Establishes a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors.

Prepares short and long-term of the Group financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.

Contributes fully to the development of group strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.

Implements a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements

Oversees and lead annual budgeting and planning; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.

Ensures risk assessment on every investment is accurate, transparent, clear and within the acceptable Percentile Risk and analyze/classify risks and investments to determine their potential impacts on companies

Establish and maintain systems and procedures that ensure financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately, and that all financial controls are operating effectively.

Lead and continuously develop/ improve group financial processes to be as efficient and effective as possible within budget constraints

Lead and develop finance teams.

Establish and implement a training program for new and existing employees to continuously develop the competencies that support business requirements.
