As a Stores Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of a company’s storage facilities. You will be in charge of maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse, ensuring that inventory is properly stored and accounted for, and coordinating with other departments to meet their storage and distribution needs. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Stores Supervisor Responsibilities

  1. Supervise a team of warehouse staff, ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
  2. Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to maintain accurate records.
  4. Implement and enforce proper inventory management procedures, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
  5. Coordinate with purchasing and procurement departments to ensure that stock levels align with demand and production requirements.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as production, sales, and customer service, to understand their storage and distribution needs and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  8. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and streamline processes.
  9. Train and mentor warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  10. Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
