Position Summary

The position is responsible for tracking and coordinating the progress of grants from inception to completion.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists with identifying opportunities for extramural funding and supports the Principal Investigators (PI) throughout the grant application process.
  • Coordinates with the faculty to resolve general administrative issues related to grant proposals in accordance with the proposed research plan.
  • Utilizes established tools to assist with reviews of sponsor RFPs, grant proposals and progress reports.
  • Tracks the lifecycle of grants/projects, including amendments, extensions, project transfers and formal acceptance notifications.
  • Communicates and monitors deadlines related to grants to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Maintains records of changes to sponsor requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Assists in reviewing and editing of post-award contractual agreements, grant sub-contracts, research agreements, data use and material transfer agreements, non-disclosure agreements.
  • Disseminates information to sub-recipients of Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) in accordance with the Fund Management Agreement (FMA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
