ChalkTalk is delivering improvement in student learning outcomes up to 6x, as measured by third-party test scores. It is currently used to power high school literacy and numeracy instruction district-wide at some of the largest US districts – including 8 of the largest 100. ChalkTalk currently has 40 employees.

Job Overview

At ChalkTalk, we’re not just looking for task doers—we’re looking for builders and leaders. We need a natural problem-solver and collaborator to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing and scaling the architecture needed to support a 10x increase in our user base.

As a Senior Engineer, you will join our high-performing Engagineers team, which focuses on customer activation and reporting. In this role, on top of working closely with the greater engineering team, you’ll partner closely with our Implementation Team, which ensures our customers—educators and students—have exceptional experiences. Together, we’re driven by a shared passion: improving outcomes for students and empowering teachers with innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering and product team to turn product vision into reality
• Full-stack web app development
• Solve real customer problems
• Ship quality code aggressively
• Design the architecture and conduct design reviews
• Follow and raise the bar on best practices of testing, logging, monitoring and CI/CD
