Job Description: IT Department Supervisor
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring smooth functioning of all IT systems and infrastructure.
Lead and supervise a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and task delegation.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members in resolving complex IT issues and implementing IT projects.
Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, security systems, and software applications, to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their IT needs, provide technical solutions, and ensure effective communication and coordination.
Manage IT budget, procurement, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective IT solutions and services.
Stay updated with the latest IT trends, technologies, and advancements to provide strategic recommendations for IT improvements and innovations.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement, and provide mentoring and coaching as needed.
Ensure adherence to IT service level agreements (SLAs) and monitor and report on IT department performance metrics.
Resolve escalated IT issues in a timely and efficient manner, including after-hours and on-call support as needed.
Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional development among team members.
