As Area Director of Sales – Leisure Sales UAE, you will be responsible to maximize revenue streams within the Leisure Sales segments (Tour Operator / DMC / Wholesaler) from all feeder markets with a structured sales approach. To build an aligned brand presence across global markets by establishing and maintaining positive relationship with key industry influencers, locally and overseas, setting and monitoring strategic goals, championing Rotana’s brand image, and linking corporate policy and strategy with the Sales and Revenue teams of the designated leisure properties.
Whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Initiate, develop, and manage long term positive relationships with leading tour operators, wholesalers/Bedbanks and local destination management companies ensuring longevity support, a healthy market share and penetration for Rotana leisure resorts (City & Beach & Niche properties)
- To create, implement strategic sales plans to ensure the hotels are well positioned across existing and emerging source markets, thus achieving and exceeding forecast, and budget results.
- Develop, implement, and manage rates structures and strategies through market data review and demand analysis.
- Prepare and facilitate annual contracting process and ensure execution and delivering in a timely manner according to market requirements for rate agreements, promotional campaigns, and any other key tactical activities.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department to produce sales literature and giveaways for your teams.
- Actively account management of strategic accounts for Rotana Hotels.
- Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, supporting, motivating, and engaging employees to continuously deliver the best possible service and to provide feedback and suggestions, including but not limited to supporting team members with key client account negotiations.
- To manage, develop and review teamwork schedules, ensuring the correct coverage and representation within the market of the team, including sales calls, business trips, site inspections and familiarisations.
- Train and develop the Sales team in the departmental Standard Operating Procedures and ensure all employees are certified to these standards.
- Review and finalize the Travel Trade section of the month end report prior to submission.
