Overview of the role:

To manage and control various financial and accounting systems and procedures of the company in accordance with the internationally accepted standard, and monitor its internal control to ensure financial stability and maintain complete transparency and accuracy in the system.

 

What you will do:

Responsible for:

Customers

  •  To provide financial support to internal customers: Regional Mall Management and Mall Owner, Retail business team, HR and FM, in relation to Business Review, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting through effective communication in order to meet the business needs

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for complete accounting cycle for assigned Retail companies. (Revenue, Expense, Closing & Reporting)
  • Ensure the activation of leasing contracts after review and perform posting run for all leasing contracts in a timely manner
  • Verification of LPO’s, coding and posting of approved expenses in respective GL Accounts, cost centres and ensure approval per DOA for Opex & Capex
  • Ensure payments are released per agreed payment terms and all supporting documents are in compliance with Company Policies & Procedures and ensure approval per DOA
  • Preparation and review of annual budget, quarterly forecast, 5 year Plan and KPIs thereof
  • Liaise with consolidation team and provide the cash flow inputs for weekly and monthly forecasts
  • Building of excel models and automations, presentation for all management reporting’s within the stipulated timelines

 

Job Context:

Senior Accountant – Business Decision Support – Retail shall ensure that the Accounting Policies of Al Futtaim Malls are upheld and that all reporting is in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.

 

Required skills to be successful:

Job-Specific Skills:

  •  Well-versed in IAS / IFRS.

What equpis you for the role:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Graduate degree in commerce / accounting / finance with knowledge of Financial Management and Accounting Systems is necessary.
  •  Advanced knowledge of ERP Financial Software is necessary; SAP and Yardi expertise will be preferred.

 

Minimum Experience :

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience working in diverse teams; retail leasing environment experience will be preferred.

Overview of the role:

To provide financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate invoicing of all receivables across the Arabian Center Mall.

The role is also responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with collection targets.  A key aim of this role is to minimise bad debts in Arabian Center.

 

What you will do:

Responsible for:

  • Ensure invoices are processed on the system for all 3rd party and internal customers in accordance with their executed Lease Agreements and provided for payment in an accurate and timely manner
  • Collates and verifies documentation supporting the invoice to be issued to customers
  • Prepares and sends invoice to customer as scheduled
  • Researches and responds to all invoicing queries in a prompt manner.
  • Generate weekly AR Aging report and other weekly AR related reports as required from existing accounting system and excel
  • Responsible for managing the collection of all due invoices
  • Investigate and respond to accounts receivable queries in a prompt manner.  Conduct customer account reconciliations and provide accurate Statement of Accounts to both internal and external parties.
  • Assist business units to initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion

We are currently seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Group Finance in the capacity of Accountant.

 

Overview of the role
As an Accountant in Group Finance, he/she will focus on supporting the day-to-day activities to manage receivables and payables including intercompany transactions.

 

What you will do

Account Receivables management

  • Preparing the billing template, obtaining confirmation on billing from customers and providing the template to FSSC for billing
  • Ensuring SLA framework is in place
  • Following up with customers for collection
  • Regularly reviewing accounts receivables to ensure books are duly updated, clearing is done timely, etc.  – liaise with FSSC
  • Timely providing required details/documentation to the customers
  • Monitoring Passthrough account 159225 – ensuring balance is zero at all given times

Account Payables management

  • Regularly reviewing accounts payable schedule to ensure no aged advance payments or payables.
  • Regularly reviewing GR/IR account to ensure timely clearance.
  • Liaise with FSSC for vendor registration, extension, off-cycle approvals, accounting treatment, etc.
  • Reviewing payroll schedules to ensure books are regularized at any given

Intercompany payables acceptance

  • Obtaining supporting document and details from originating entity 
  • Deciding accounting treatment based on supporting documents.
  • Advising accounting treatment to FSSC ICM accountant for acceptance
  • Daily review of open ICMs escalating issues related to transactions aged beyond 15 days, SLA non-compliance, etc.
  • Reviewing rejected ICMs and resolving issues
  • Exception handlingpoint of time

 

Required skills to be successful

  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Excellent skills on MS Office and sound understanding of systems and processes
  • Strong Analytical, process oriented, good communication and presentation skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree / ACCA or any equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in relevant field
