We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements according to company policies and government regulations.
Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
Assist with reviewing expenses, payroll records, and other financial transactions.
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a junior accountant or in a similar role.
Excellent organizing abilities and attention to detail.
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.

What you’ll be doing  

As a Senior Finance Executive with Hikaya Office Furniture Manufacturing Co LLC, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company by overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position will report to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage cash management activities to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budgeted figures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in finance and accounting.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to other departments as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed     

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • You are preferably CPA or CMA certified. 
  • You have a proven experience as a Finance Executive, Accountant, or in a similar role.
  • You have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are attentive to details.
  • You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You can work both independently and as part of a team.

Supervise the day-to-day activities of staff to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and general integrity of the accounts payable and cash accounting function and related reports.

 

Key Accountabilities

Accounts Payable

  • Ensuring adherence to the accounting department’s policies and procedures.
  • Manage, and approve the monthly payment requests to suppliers to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and the general integrity of the accounts payable function Review and verify data entered into the financial data processing system.

  • Communicate and report the status of pending critical payments to ensure management’s awareness of delays affecting operations,
