<p><b>Overview of the role:</b></p>

<p>The role is to lead the finance team of Al Futtaim Motors (Toyota and Lexus). The incumbent will act as the principal finance support / business partner for the Managing Directors and be jointly responsible for the commercial performance of the entities within the scope. To ensure all accounting information is available to the Automotive leadership team through robust Financial Statements, proactive risk management and ensuring compliance with the group’s financial and accounting policies and procedures. Also responsible for Financial &amp; Treasury management, Forecast and Budgets reviews, Process and Compliance and Systems Reviews.</p>

<p><u>Leadership:</u></p>

<li>Lead the Finance team to ensure both excellence in day to day service delivery and future needs.   </li>
</ul>

<p><u>Partnerships:</u></p>

<li>Partner with the Managing Directors and Senior Management in the pursuit of set goals and strategies. Clearly articulate the key drivers of the business.</li>
<li>To report on commercial performance and all related matters to the CFO Automotive <br>

<p><u>Budgeting, Forecasting and Reporting:</u></p>

<ul>
<li>Direct the overall financial plan and accounting practice. Manage the financial performance by developing forecasts and monitoring ongoing performance against plan. </li>
<li>Develop models for short, medium and long term forecasts to ensure the business has the necessary resources to achieve set goals</li>
<li>Ensure submissions to Auto Division are completed in a timely manner and clearly explain deviations from current trends <br>
 </li>
</ul>

<p><u>Treasury Related Activities:</u></p>

<ul>
<li>Ensure businesses have the appropriate funding to achieve performance objectives and liaise with Auto and Group Treasury departments as necessary.</li>
<li>Ensure cash flow forecasts are submitted in a timely and accurate manner in order to plan allocation of resources.</li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with Treasury Policies and Procedures related to Foreign Exchange hedging.<br>
 </li>
</ul>

<p><u>Performance Management:</u></p>

<ul>
<li>Provide strong, forward looking analytical leadership with focus on data driven decisions.</li>
<li>Manage the production of reporting tools (KPI’s, scorecards, etc) to provide management insight into revenue and expense trends, track project performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.</li>
<li>Ensure Net Working Capital is optimized at all times by ensuring processes and review mechanisms are in place to monitor inventory, payables and receivables. <br>
 </li>
</ul>

<p><u>Governance :</u></p>

<ul>
<li>To ensure the business operates within the company’s accounting policies and DOA.</li>
<li>To liaise with internal and external auditors as necessary, and assist the business to implement recommendations.</li>
<li>To ensure the Balance Sheet Substantiation processes are adhered to within the businesses, with monthly reviews to monitor deviations  <br>

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall operations at the family office and supporting the family with all they need during their work and personal life. You work independently, with top communication & organizational skills you build strong relationships quickly and you are comfortable working alone for periods. 

Your tasks and responsibilities are within 4 main areas:

main responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for global service providers;
  • Liaises with accountants, real estate brokers, service providers and stakeholders affecting family-directed strategies and initiatives;
  • Organize quarterly performance presentations by all portfolio managers;
  • Ensures timely bill payments with clear accountability;
  • Creates family council meeting materials and minutes of family council activities;
  • Provides quarterly/ annual reports on revenues and expenditures;
  • Coordinates with legal advisors to seek advice, amendment of legal documents as directed, maintains an updated archive of legal documents pertaining to family governance and assets managed;
  • Plans meetings with members and stakeholders as and when required, informing members of meeting agendas;
  • Coordinates with accountants to receive financial statements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statement) and tax returns;
  • Liaises with relationship managers, setting up performance review meetings, and ensuring timely documentation support to the institutions;
  • Ensures letters of engagement are updated for global service providers and advises on any challenges;
  • Supports directly as the go-to person for all needs, including daily administration, calendar management, travel schedules, healthcare, project coordination and delivering presentations;
  • Provides administrative support on visas, passports, and other legal documents, ensuring renewals are done in a timely manner and family members are up to date on progress;
  • Conserves time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; and initiating communication;
  • Coordinates real estate refurbishment projects by capturing timelines and strategies and delivering progress updates;
  • Coordinates negotiations of contracts and leases with tenants;
  • Collects market value information provided by real estate brokers and reports these;
  • Oversees the day-to-day performance of the real estate portfolio;
  • Maintains real estate leases, ensuring renewal dates are tracked and executed as per guidance;
  • Develops and implements timely preventative maintenance policies and procedures to maintain the properties and facilities in good working order;
  • Administers work order requests. Sets standards for response and dispatches maintenance staff and/or service contractors as appropriate. Communicate with tenants on the status of repairs;
  • Coordinates the collection and deposit of tenant payments in conjunction with accounting. Tracks operating expenses and coordinates payment of real estate taxes and other property-related expenses;
  • Maintains knowledge of all regulatory and safety requirements;
  • Be the point of contact for all tenants globally;
  • Coordinates insurance of all assets and legal documentation;

<p><b>Overview of the role:</b></p>

<p>Financial controller will participate in the planning, performance management and controlling cycle of the business. He/she will be a trusted business partner to Managing Director o and his operations team. He/she will be responsible to develop the (financial) reporting process with state-of-the-art tools to provide both internal and external stakeholders with insightful, accurate and timely financial information. Within his/her role as Financial Controller, he/she has a lot of autonomy and responsibility. He/she, together with Business Control oriented staff, part of the Business finance department and will report to the General Manager of Finance.</p>

<p><b>What you will do:</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Review and analysis of monthly financial statements of all business operations and dispersion management across all brands within business units;</li>
<li>Partner with Finance Leadership and to establish BU P&amp;L performance review and develop reporting / KPIs to review with key stakeholders.</li>
<li>Perform detail costing for cost to serve and provide visibility on financials KPI to drive business and operational accountability</li>
<li>Understand individual market dynamic on return and business opportunity; translate to financials implication to drive P&amp;L and Cashflow optimization.</li>
<li>Analysis of forecasts and budgets of all activities, locations, of business operations, including consistency checks;</li>
<li>First line support of business operations and local financial controllers on finance related questions;</li>
